The foods tasted awesome, the butterflied shrimp, short ribs pide, and hummus, all good. The icecream with sticky rice(?) and cheese and rose petals was creative and delicious. Satisfied.
AMAZING Brunch! Beautiful ambience.. As someone who is always looking for a wonderful brunch spot this is it! I dread driving into DC, nice local spot in Bethesda. You feel like you’re in Mykonos or Bodrum. The brunch was filling. You get to also order from the menu. The Adana sliders were delicious, lahmacun, pide, kunefe, baklava and the crepes were super cute! This is my new favorite spot! Already planning on our next visit. Also very kind and accommodating to children.
We came for Valentine’s Day lunch and then a week later to Sunday brunch. Lunch was a great deal at 22 per person for 2 mezze and dessert. Sunday brunch was 36 buffet with a huge variety of items and unlimited mezze dishes from the available menu. Was totally surprised this place wasn’t a line out the door. Don’t be discouraged if there aren’t reservations, both times we came it seemed like we didn’t even need one when no reservations were available on the site. Everything was excellent, so happy to have a place like this in town.
Although I usually give 5 or 4 stars for decent restaurant, but looking into the detailed categories (food/service/atmosphere), rarely I would rate all with 5 stars. My son and I had brunch buffet today. The experience was very good. We ended up eating more than we should (it is a Buffett, right). Starting from the appetizers- cheese, hummus, to made to order hot food, to Turkish coffee, everything is good and if not the best. The ordered food came very quickly. Our server is super friendly and made us feel very comfortable. The short-rib is must try, but others are also good.
My husband and I were visiting the DMV and found this spot. The food was so incredibly good and the ambiance was lovely. I cannot remember our waiters name but he was great and made perfect recommendations for us. Definitely coming back again on our next visit!
The brunch is phenomenal!! Mami found this place and it lived up to the reviews. I mean everything: food, customer service, decor, ambiance, cleanliness, even the all you can eat set up - 10/10. We tried to review all food items of the day below, all scores out of 10: Branzino salad 8 Crab salad 6 Chick pea salad 9 perfect Deviled egg 6 not heavily seasoned Cheese 10 (I love cheese) Salmon waffle 4/10 pass French onion 8 (missing cheese) Main course - one at a time Toum short ribs gyro: 7/10 short rib good, need sauce and cheese Adana slider: 10 - pickled onion goes good Tawook schnitzel: 10 - incredible sauce ordered twice Lahm bi ajeen: 10 so flavorful Tawook shawarma omelette: 5 could do without it Karanab 7 Shaksuka 8.5 very hearty. Meat free chili vibes Fall latke- 7.5 avoid the roe Gardies and salmon toast 6/10 Soujok & egg sandwich - didn’t eat due to soujok being pork I strongly recommend this place. The only downside is trying to find parking. There was a promo on the app “inkind” so we saved 40. Get here.
Had an amazing lunch at Ala Bethesda! The short ribs were tender and full of flavor, and the hummus was some of the best I’ve had. The space was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. A perfect midday treat — can’t wait to go back!
All I can say, satisfied with ALA Bethesda. Great food and service. Most of the food items on bunch menu are delicious except 1-2 that are a bit dry. Buffet bars are excellent - presentation on point. This is definitely my new favorite brunch spot in the DMV.
